Set in the woods on this tropical island, a lot of what Alex will make for his guest is local. We got started.



An excellent start and we love listening to Alex discuss his kitchen philosophy. Great flavors and food inspiration.

Next came the carrot.

This dish shows how good ingredients in the kitchen can sometimes be done best very simply- fantastic.

This exemplifies what Alex is trying to do, fresh, local ingredients presented in their best possible light. Perfect.

Next we tried duck confit. 

Another simple yet complex and delicious dish that really presents the quality of the ingredients in their best light. Fantastic.

This dessert, local again and not too heavy was the perfect end to the evening. Local fantastic flavors and creative as hell. It inspired me to recommend it.
