Nai yang is one of our favorite beaches so we had a cocktail and got started with the menu
The scallops were fresh and perfectly cooked and who does not like a garlic sauce to accompany them?. All in all a strong, flavorful start and a nice presentation
This dish is smoked salmon with a lemon sauce, presented in a scandinavian way, yet cleverly modern. Who does not like a little smoked salmon.
We then headed into some Thai western fusion dishes starting with a Thai Duck dish infused with spicy curry but presented in a modern way that included cinnamon and other spices.
This massaman curry chicken dish, again modernized to combine east and west- caramelized ingredients and thai spices, yet including a western approach to the curry that came together nicely. We appreciated this combination.
The tenderloin came in a wine sauce with potatoes and vegetables, a western dish that somehow had thai touches The meat was excellent in quality and preparation and came accompanied by their excellent house wine. There is a good list here.
Modern style means a different presentation and fusion of eastern and western ingredients- here you can see the variety-
The lamb was also of high quality and the sauce combination really brought out the best in the flavor. This dish is highly recommended and you need to combine the sauces in one bite.
We tried a couple of deserts Ahh Macaroons--- And it was excellent
